Policy

Privacy notice

This notice explains what BeyondAlgos collects, why we use it, and the choices available to members and visitors.

Effective July 28, 2026

1. Scope

This notice applies to the BeyondAlgos website, founding beta, paid membership, learning scenarios, submissions, feedback, and related support. It does not apply to third-party websites linked from the service.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

We collect information such as your email address, display name, authentication records, work and experience ranges, practice availability, self-reported starting confidence, learning goals, and optional teaching preferences. Self-reported answers guide your starting route; completed work remains the evidence of skill.

For founding-access requests, we collect your name, email address, current engineering situation, growth goal, acknowledgement of the future $79/month membership price, and request status.

Learning activity

We store scenario progress, evidence viewed, actions taken, each answer or code draft you explicitly submit for checking, its evaluator result, hints, replay and retrieval attempts, rubric assessments, personal learning notes, self-reported unclear markers, reviewer feedback, and completion state. We do not record editor keystrokes. Personal notes and unclear markers stay in your private review queue and do not affect scoring, recommendations, or learning evidence. The remaining history helps explain corrections, schedule later review, and improve learning content.

Billing information

Submitting a founding-access request does not send payment information to Stripe or start billing. If invited, Stripe verifies and stores your card before beta access begins. BeyondAlgos receives verification status, Stripe customer and payment-method identifiers, and limited card details needed for support; we do not receive or store the full card number. Card verification starts no subscription or automatic billing.

If you later confirm paid membership, BeyondAlgos also receives subscription status, transaction references, price, currency, and other limited billing details needed to provide access and support.

Technical and usage information

We may collect IP address, browser and device type, referring page, approximate request time, session events, error logs, security events, and product events such as an access request submitted or a scenario completed. PostHog provides limited analytics on the public acquisition journey. We send public page paths, browser, operating-system and device type, bounded campaign labels, and named form interaction and outcome events. Location enrichment is disabled for these events.

We do not send PostHog your name, email address, engineering situation, growth-goal text, employer material, learner answers, personal learning notes, unclear markers, or submission text. Automatic element capture, console capture, and automatic exception capture are disabled. We use session replay on the public acquisition journey to identify usability problems. All form regions are blocked from replay and all input values are masked; public page content and navigation interactions remain visible so the recording is useful.

If you arrive through a campaign link, we may store bounded campaign labels with your access request to understand which outreach produces qualified requests. We do not send your application text to advertising platforms.

The Meta Pixel records visits to the measured public journey, views of the founding-access offer, and a Lead event only after an access request is stored successfully. We do not send Meta your form fields, name, email address, engineering situation, growth-goal text, or application content. Meta may use browser identifiers and cookies under its own privacy terms.

Communications

We retain messages you send to support, billing, or privacy contacts, including the information needed to resolve the request.

3. Information you must not submit

Do not submit employer source code, internal logs, credentials, customer information, private incident details, or other confidential workplace material.

BeyondAlgos scenarios use synthetic systems and data. If prohibited material is discovered, we may remove it and suspend access while protecting affected parties.

4. How we use information

  • Review founding-access requests and send cohort invitations
  • Provide authentication, beta or paid access, scenarios, progress, and feedback
  • Verify payment methods, process confirmed subscriptions, and respond to billing requests
  • Save attempt state and maintain an accurate learning history
  • Send transactional account, submission, and feedback notices
  • Protect the service, members, and infrastructure from misuse
  • Diagnose errors and improve scenario and product quality
  • Meet legal, accounting, and security obligations

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, legal obligations, and consent when required.

5. When we disclose information

We may disclose limited information to:

  • Service providers that support hosting, databases, email, analytics, error monitoring, authentication, and customer support
  • Stripe and related payment providers when an invited learner verifies a card or later activates billing, for payment processing, verification, and fraud prevention
  • Professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights and safety
  • A successor in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections

We do not sell personal information. We do not use learner submission content for targeted advertising.

6. Cookies and local storage

BeyondAlgos uses session cookies and similar browser storage necessary to sign you in, preserve security, remember progress, and operate paid or beta access. Limited public-site analytics use session storage to keep events in one browser tab connected during a visit. Meta may use cookies or similar browser identifiers for advertising measurement. Public-site analytics and advertising measurement start automatically unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Browser settings can restrict storage, but necessary features may stop working.

7. Retention

We retain access requests while reviewing cohort fit and for a reasonable period afterward to manage invitations and avoid duplicate requests. We retain account and learning records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support reactivation, resolve disputes, meet accounting requirements, and protect the service. Security logs and backups may persist for shorter operational periods. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably necessary, subject to legal obligations.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password, protect your session, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact [email protected] to make a request. We may need to verify your identity.

Transactional messages about access requests, invitations, billing, submissions, and security are part of the service. Marketing messages, if offered, will include an unsubscribe method.

10. International use

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11. Children

BeyondAlgos is intended for working professionals and is not directed to children under 18. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this notice as the service changes. We will post the revised effective date and provide additional notice when required. Questions or requests may be sent to [email protected].
